Mom and I found and adorable Christmas town square by accident on Monday. I had a nose work training session and then we were driving to pick up four hundred pounds of food for me and my sisters. After we left training we turned in a new direction and ended up in “downtown” Marine on St. Croix. It is an adorable little town center!
We had no plans to do a photo shoot on our travels Monday, so all we had was the phone camera but it is better than nothing. The few buildings they have are all decked out for Christmas and definitely brought us cheer!
Even the library is in the howliday mood it seems.
Every little town needs a general store and Marine on St. Croix is no exception. This little shop was full of stuff but I was not allowed inside. Did you read the sign on the building? It is from 1849, now that is older than even my mom!
Now for the original reason we had to stop and see this Christmas town square. Look around the festive gazebo. They have about twenty trees decorated in different themes in the park. I will show you some of our favs now.
This first one is the most special to me and Mom. It is a pink tree. Madison loved Christmas so much and loved to lay under our tree. Loving bling and pink as she did, the bright pink, sequinned Santa tree topper is totally her. The ribbons are pink and then the pretty white snowflakes and blingy ornaments all make it a Madison tree. It is a sign she was with us at the park that day.
The most fitting tree for this little town is the nautical one I would say. Seriously, who hangs life vests and bobbers on a Christmas tree? Each tree has a tag with the sponsor info on it. Maybe they make a donation and get to put up a tree? We have no idea.
This tree seems to be about plaid and bird houses for the holidays. The houses are super cute but very small. I think Hummingbirds might be able to move in.
We could not find a theme on this tree but it has lots of nice ornaments on it.
Red and white seems to be the trend for this pretty tree. The hat appears to be an elf hat but I didn’t see any elves around.
My favorite guy tree is this last one we took a photo of for you all. Talk about manly! How about all the construction stuff hanging on the tree and the Tonka Trucks underneath it? I love it. Mom has a talent for coming across interesting and odd places and things. It makes life more fun and we are happy we can share these finds with all of you!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
