It has been another week with limited time out in nature at our house. We had it all, almost one hundred degrees, high humidity, really bad storms, and a lot of smoke from Canada. On the plus side, we did survive. Mom won’t stay indoors forever so mornings she runs with Olivia for three miles or so and then walks with me and Nelson. At least in the early morning you don’t notice the smoke as much.
Speaking of storms, Sunday and Monday nights we had a few hours of heavy rain, over an inch each night, thunder, lightning, and wind gusts over fifty miles an hour. We just had our trees trimmed in June and this branch broke way up high so now we have to have someone come and remove it. Frustrating!
The smoke sometimes burns your eyes and/or throat so we are not in the yard much either. Evenings we still take short walks before dinner. I did find some pretty lilies down the street.
Hopefully by Sunday the smoke will be hitting the road and the nicer weather will hang out so we can enjoy it a bit. At least we made it to the bottom of the week again. Paws crossed for better weather next week.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
