For two decades, Greater Good Charities has powerfully and consistently stood at the intersection of compassion and action, transforming lives across the globe. But behind every rescued animal, every delivered meal, and every second chance is something even more meaningful: partnership.
iHeartDogs and iHeartCats have had the distinct honor of working hand in hand with Greater Good Charities (GGC) since 2016, helping them turn everyday compassion into measurable impact for pets in need. GGC has helped create a movement, one that proves that when people come together for a shared purpose, lives are saved.
And over the last 20 years, those lives number in the hundreds of millions.
A Partnership Built on Purpose

Greater Good Charities was founded in January 2007 with a simple but powerful belief: real change happens when communities unite around shared needs. That philosophy has guided every initiative since. For iHeartDogs and iHeartCats, that mission aligned perfectly with our own.
Through this partnership, everyday purchases and passionate supporters have fueled critical programs that directly impact animals in need. It’s not just about awareness; it’s about action. Together, these organizations have helped deliver food, fund emergency medical care, transport pets to safety, and rebuild shelters that serve as lifelines for both animals and people.

This collaboration is proof that compassion, when scaled, becomes a force capable of changing the world.
The Global Impact of Greater Good Charities

Over 20 years, GGC has built a legacy that spans continents, crises, and communities. Their reach is vast, but their approach remains deeply personal, focusing on local solutions that create lasting change.
-
$1.1+ billion in aid distributed
-
121 countries served across 6 continents
-
1.4+ billion meals delivered
-
904,996,114 animals helped
-
530,451,457 people helped
-
11,745 aid deliveries completed
-
292,403 volunteer hours contributed

These numbers tell a powerful story. But behind each statistic is something more profound: a pet healed from a deadly injury, a shelter given a second chance, a community supported in its darkest moment.
50 Million Meals and Counting

One of the most impactful ways iHeartDogs and iHeartCats have partnered with Greater Good Charities is through the delivery of pet food and essential supplies. When hardship hits, pets are often the first to go without. This partnership has worked tirelessly to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Through the GOODS Distribution Network, more than 50 million pet meals have been delivered across all 50 U.S. states thanks to iHeartDogs and iHeartCats customers who shop with purpose on our sites. This isn’t just relief, it’s stability. It’s the difference between a family keeping their beloved pet or facing an impossible decision.
Standing Strong in Times of Disaster

Natural disasters are becoming more frequent and more severe. And when they hit, animal shelters are often pushed beyond their limits. Together, iHeartDogs, iHeartCats, and Greater Good step in quickly, mobilizing resources, delivering supplies, and helping relocate vulnerable pets out of danger zones. This not only saves animal lives but also allows shelters to focus on supporting their communities during crisis recovery.
During the Palisades fires in Los Angeles, iHeartDogs got the chance to step up in our own community. Alongside Greater Good, we provided critical aid and logistical support, even opening our warehouse to store, pack, and distribute relief supplies. Team members also volunteered extensively, giving their time, resources, and funding to support pets and families affected by the crisis.

Greater Goods Charities CEO, Liz Baker, said of iHeartDogs’ impact during this tumultuous time:
“Really anything that we needed, you gave your time. You gave your money. And most of all, you gave your heart.”
Transforming Shelters and Lives

Safe spaces matter. For both people and pets, they can mean the difference between fear and healing. Through programs like Rescue Rebuild and Safe & Together, this partnership has completed more than 200 renovation projects for animal shelters and domestic violence facilities.

Volunteers from across the country come together to create environments that are safe, functional, and filled with dignity. These are places where families can stay together, where pets are not left behind, and where healing can begin.
Fighting for Every Second Chance

For many shelter pets, survival comes down to one thing: access to medical care. Since 2015, Greater Good Charities, supported by partners like iHeartDogs and iHeartCats, has stepped in to fund emergency medical treatment for animals facing life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

When shelters lack resources, difficult decisions are made. But this program changes that reality, turning last days into new beginnings. It gives veterinarians the ability to treat, shelters the ability to hope, and animals the chance to live.
Taking to the Skies to Save Lives

Sometimes, saving a life means changing a location. Through the GOOD Flights program, Greater Good Charities transports at-risk pets, especially those in overcrowded Southern shelters, to areas where adoptive homes are waiting. Their efforts have resulted in:
-
18,000+ total pets transported
-
12,400+ dogs relocated
-
5,700+ cats relocated
Nearly 1,700 of these animals were transported across 450,000 miles, thanks to the support of iHeartDogs and iHeartCats shoppers and Hero VIP Club members.

These aren’t just numbers. These are dogs and cats who might have lost their lives without a vital change of scenery. And families who didn’t even know their new best friend was waiting just a flight away.
A Holistic Approach to Helping the World

As CEO, Liz Baker reflects in her 20-year message, the true power of Greater Good Charities lies in understanding that people, animals, and the environment are deeply connected. From funding a bus so girls in Kandahar could safely attend school, to supporting families and pets displaced by war in Ukraine, to saving billions of bees after devastating hurricanes, Greater Good addresses the root of challenges, not just the symptoms.
Their work reminds us that helping animals often means helping people. And helping people strengthens entire communities.
What GGC Has Taught Us About Compassion
Twenty years of impact have revealed something powerful: meaningful change doesn’t always come from the biggest solutions. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a meal, a flight, or a safe place to stay. And often, it starts with someone who cares enough to act.
That’s where iHeartDogs and iHeartCats come in. By connecting everyday people with meaningful ways to give back, they have helped fuel this global mission, turning small acts of kindness into life-saving outcomes.
The Future Starts With You
The past 20 years have shown what’s possible when compassion becomes collective. But the work is far from over. Every day, animals still need rescue. Shelters still need support. Communities still need help rebuilding. And that’s why your role matters.
By joining the iHeartDogs and iHeartCats Hero VIP Clubs, you become part of this life-saving mission. Your support helps fund meals, medical care, transport, and shelter improvements, ensuring that Greater Good Charities can continue responding to urgent needs while building long-term solutions.

Because the next chapter of this story isn’t just about what’s been done. It’s about what we can do, together.
