Today we are celebrating Dr. Seuss, the day after his birthday as we don’t usually blog on the weekends. It’s probably no surprise but I decided to go with a nose work theme. Our season starts next weekend which makes this timing ideal! Before I get to my poem I would like to share a quote I came across that is ideal for nose work.
We will keep this in mind as we search for all those hides.
This is a funny we stumbled across on Facebook. We sure think it is funny and very true. If you have a puppy, it is perfect!
Now for my creation, based on my nose work experience, of course. I am using the book One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish as my inspiration.
One hide
Two hide
High hide
Low hide.
Inaccessible hide
Converging hide.
This one is anise
The next one is clove
It is like finding a treasure trove.
Yes. Some are high, some are low.
Over time, their scent cone will grow.
Some are strong, some are weak
The odor will eventually peak.
Odor can be found in a tube
Or in a small cube.
When I find the hide
Mom will call alert
And serve me up a tasty dessert.
Back to our search
Maybe we’ll find some birch.
When we think we found them all
Mom will call finish
And we’ll celebrate having had a ball.
We love celebrating Dr. Seuss not only on his birthday, but whenever we see his books, quotes, or TV shows. He knows how to teach the lessons of life in a super fun way! Happy Birthday!
