Without hesitation, Razor led the neighbor to Jazzy’s location, where the St. Bernard was still stuck, exhausted from her struggle.

Realizing the situation required professional help, the neighbor quickly contacted local authorities. Within minutes, first responders from the Belen Fire Department and police arrived on the scene to assess the situation.

What the rescuers found was a massive dog trapped in a precarious situation. Jazzy was submerged up to two feet in thick, heavy mud. The rescue team knew they needed to act quickly, as Jazzy’s condition could worsen the longer she remained trapped.

The rescue operation was no easy task. Eight firefighters and police officers worked together, using specialized equipment, including backboard straps and a spine board, to lift the massive dog out of the mud.
