Wilbur is not your typical dog. While most pups are busy fetching sticks or dozing in sunny corners, Wilbur has found joy in something far more unusual. He truly believes he is a guinea pig. Every morning, when his human, Jen, brings out her two guinea pigs, lovingly called the Dumplings, Wilbur happily joins their routine. Sometimes, Wilbur lies beside their cage, resting his head close enough that the guinea pigs can see him. One of them, Market Price, often climbs up on Wilbur’s side as if he’s a soft, warm hill. The other, Rumps, prefers to curl up right next to him, perfectly still and content, like a tiny potato nestled into a patch of fur.

Jen says it’s a sight that melts her heart every single day. Despite their size difference, the Dumplings feel safe with Wilbur, and he seems to take his guardian role seriously. He never barks or startles them. Instead, he’s calm and gentle, watching over them like a protective big brother.

Wilbur may not understand that he’s a dog, but maybe that’s what makes their bond so special. In his eyes, they’re just family. And in return, the Dumplings have accepted him completely.
