My GBGV Life Every Day Should Be Love Your Dog Day!Happy Love Your Dog Day! At our house that is every day and we think for every home with a dog that should be the case. Since we don’t have a lot of photos of us with Mom, we decided to look back at our sports photos to find some fun examples of love. The photo above is a selfie Mom and I took at a nose work trial just over a year ago.

My GBGV Life Mom and BailieLet’s go down memory lane a bit and start in seniority order. Since Mom was a flight attendant for a long time, she loves seniority order. This makes me, Bailie, first. Here we are at my very first nose work trial ever, an element trial back in May 2015, almost ten years ago! We both do look quite happy and I am sure we were having fun together.

My GBGV Life hugs for BailieNow we have a photo from a year later, May 2016, when I was in a nose work trial and from the looks of it, I must have found the hide in the wheel of the van. Mom is showing me some love for good, honest work. Note, my whole career, purple was a “thing”.

My GBGV Life Every Day Should Be Love Your Dog Day!Olivia did a good job in record time finding the hides in this search. Mom is very happy and is letter her know that as they leave the search area. There is always a lot of love at our sports events, even if we don’t do well, but doing well is the best!

My GBGV Life crazy eyesThis hide was at one of Olivia’s Summit Trials. It was in that squished can in the grass. She did a great job following the scent cone and alerted on the can. Mom was not sure but she called it and Olivia was “treated” quite well. Her eyes tell it all. She’s the one with the crazy eyes in the family.

My GBGV Life FastCAT snacksNelson is the absolute number one snack monster. It is always about the snacks for that guy! One time early last season he would not come when called to Mom at the end of his FastCAT run and wanted to play “catch me if you can”. Mom said no way this was going to happen again. She started carrying one treat in her pocket. As soon as Nelson crosses the finish line, she says, “Nelson, snacks” and he comes right to her. The photo shows how happy they both are!

My GBGV Life happiness on one pawFinally, the snack monster will do anything for snacks. Mom looks so happy and it looks like Nelson is talking to her. Don’t miss the real amazing thing, though. He is standing on one, yes, one, paw!

We are so thankful that Mom loves us so much every day. We are a lucky bunch and not all pets are that lucky! Give your pets a bit of extra love today and make sure every day is a love your pet day!
