Why Add Coconut Oil to Dog Treats?
There are several benefits to adding coconut oil in making dog treats. Coconut oil supports the dog’s skin and coat health. The MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) in coconut oil can help a dog’s digestion. Also, coconut oil can provide an energy boost, especially for active dogs; like my golden retrievers.
To make your homemade dog treats safe, use unrefined, virgin coconut oil and consume it in moderation. Also, it is important to take note, that too much coconut oil may result in digestive problems. If you are unsure about adding coconut oil to your dog’s diet, consult your vet.
Are Blackberries safe for Dogs?
Dogs can eat blackberries; in moderation. Blackberries are packed with both fiber and antioxidants. Blackberries make a healthy snack and adding in your dog treat recipes contributes natural sweetness and flavor.
Adding Yogurt to Dog Treats
Dogs can eat plain yogurt. To make your homemade dog treat recipes safe, use only unflavored, and unsweetened yogurt. Adding plain yogurt to dog treats supports dog digestive health because it adds moisture and probiotics
