Happiness Is…Quality Control

Happiness is…quality control! Sunday, Nelson and I went to a Sniff n Go. It was pouring rain, but we had a blast practicing some good sniffing. Since the event was located over half way to where we pick up our food, Mom ordered a load of food. She always gets around 400-450 pounds of food which lasts about four months for all of us. Since it is over an hour away, this was a perfect time to get a new supply. I kept an eye on things while our person loaded the flats into the back of the car.

Mom can’t lift heavy things like this yet, so she brought along a helper. We ordered eight and a half of these flats. I thought it would be a good idea to give things a taste. We wouldn’t want to bring home anything that didn’t taste fantastic! It is a tough job doing the tasting, but some hound has to do it. Nelson, was kind of tired, which left all the work to fall on me.

We got home and our helper unloaded all the delicacies into the garage. Mom then started her usual process of bagging it all and putting it into our freezers. Of course, I stayed in the garage to keep an eye on things. It takes about an hour for Mom to get it all into bags and arranged in the freezers so it all fits. Once she finished, I had a look in one freezer. It sure looks good, and I think we had just enough food ordered. There was no room in either freezer for any more!

Now let the fun begin! That means time to start eating away at our big stash! It sure makes me happy knowing we have plenty to eat for a while!
