Last weekend Mom and I were hitting Wayzata Beach. It’s winter, we thought the weather was nicer and should check out the beach before going to Gramma’s house. Let’s say, it was not at all crowded. We ran into one man with a dog, that was it. This is me sitting on a pier in the marina. No boats to be seen.
We went to the shoreline to see how the lake was doing. It is frozen. In the distance we could see some ice houses and some cars. Mom says it used to be covered with ice houses and cars but now with the warmer weather it is a bit dangerous. We did not venture out onto the ice at all.
On the kayak stand I came across this poor lonely kayak. Someone must have abandoned it. Don’t you think it looks rather cold and lonely?
We took the boardwalk around the marina and stopped at another place to tie up a boat.
On the way back to the car we stopped by the rental shop, which was closed. I guess hitting Wayzata Beach in the winter is not popular, but we had a nice little walk. I’m sure we will be back when it warms up and then it will be crowded and not as nice for us to walk. You can check out my birthday photo shoot from when I turned eleven as we went to the beach and it was summertime!
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
