Buddy and Hobbs found their way to foster mom Camille after a rescue group stepped in to save them from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. The bonded duo arrived traumatized, and even the simple act of going outside to relieve themselves felt overwhelming. Camille gently carried them, one by one, into the yard, understanding that healing would take time.

She gave them a quiet, cozy room to decompress and visited often, sometimes just sitting beside them and reading aloud to offer comfort. Over time, Buddy and Hobbs began to trust her, eventually greeting her with wagging tails at the gate.

To help them feel safe venturing outdoors on their own, Camille placed their dinner bowls near the back door. Her thoughtful strategy paid off — soon, the pair found the courage to walk through the door and play joyfully with Camille’s other dogs in the yard. It was a beautiful moment of progress.
