Let’s all go to the vet for our yearly check ups, said the mom. She used to bring all of us together but the past two years she decided to take us all separately. This year she was back to getting it all done a once to save time and trips over several months.
Mom was a flight attendant for a long time and everything was done in seniority order, so with us it is the same way. We each had our own turn to go in and get our exam. I was first since I am oldest and I had the longest list of questions and things. I’m already upset after enduring a car ride and then I am scared of the vet office. Mom went over her list with the team and we checked off everything. All is good with me and my blood work also came back in order. I do have several cysts in different places that are different sizes but they are all benign, nothing to worry about.
Olivia is also scared of the vet. She clings to Mom when she is scared and she thought if she sat on the bench she would be safe. Her exam was also done pretty quickly, she didn’t have any issues so she had her blood test and was all ready to roll for another year.
Of course, Nelson loves going to the vet. I don’t think there is anything in life he doesn’t love! He greets everyone, lets them do what ever, but this year he added a twist.
Being the “snack” guy, he decided the vet could examine him but he wanted a treat first. The guy knows where they keep the treats. When the vet stepped out, he went hunting for that important jar. Because he is so handsome and nice, he won over the vet and ended up getting several treats. He too is perfectly healthy.
The vet said we all have very nice, clean teeth, and are perfect weights. Mom got our heartworm and flea/tick meds for the next year so we are all set! Right now we are a pack of happy, healthy hounds.
