Last Friday and Saturday we were in Ellsworth, WI, where I earned some more Q’s towards my scent work goals. Each day I did two Detective and one Masters Interior run. I earned two more Q’s towards my Detective Title and one Q towards my Master Interior and Overall Masters Titles. The Northstar Rottweiler Club has really fancy Q ribbons for Detective which I like a lot. I also earned second place in my one Master Interior Q.
It was a fun two days. These trials are big and can be a bit chaotic but this year it was very organized. Mom volunteered on both days that I ran my searches. Olivia came along for moral support and as my coach. Since Saturday was Gramma’s birthday, I didn’t compete that day. We were able to crate inside the one building which was nice and cool. It is nice to also not be in the car all day.
Now I only need one more Master Interior Q for my Master Interior Title and my overall Masters Title. For Detective I now need four more Q’s. A dog needs ten perfect runs for a Detective Title. Hopefully I will get into some trials again soon and finish up these last titles. We still have sports for the next four weekends, but nose work not scent work. It is the busy season and we love it!
