Take two! Back in January 2024, Mom took me to an open call for dog models with a well known local photographer. She is the photographer that Emma worked with and how she got her photo on some Target dog products way back in 2013! Bailie and Madison also had photos done by Barbara but as far as we know, they didn’t land any photos on products. My first try was a disaster as I was afraid of the noise the flash made. I could not relax or do anything so that ended that. Enter 2026 when Mom saw an open call and thought maybe now that I am older I would be better with the noise.
Sunday morning we headed out to Stockholm, Wisconsin to the farm where the photographer lives. Mom had never been there before and we were looking forward to a fun morning. After a couple stops along the way, we arrived at the farm for the photos. See behind me, nothing much but field after field. A real remote location.
The other direction is the barn. They have horses and some other small creatures like chickens. We waited outside for our turn as there was a really nice breeze that kept us cool.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long. I don’t think we were even at the place for an hour which is good. It is first come, first serve. Right before my turn we waited inside so we would be ready to go into the studio.
She took a lot of photos of me doing different things. Altogether it took at most ten minutes. I did really well this time and Mom is proud of me for that. Now I will go into her catalogue for companies to look at and choose dogs to model their products. In a few weeks she will post the photos. We are allowed to use them as we wish, on the blog, social media, etc. I will share them with you when I have them.
It was a busy morning with our photo stops on the way and then my modeling photos, plus the hot weather. Shortly after we left, I konked out with my head on the hammock part of the seat protector where the A/C vent blows up air. Most of the hour drive home I was snoozing away. Mom and I had a Grand morning together and I am thankful she let me try the model thing one more time!
