Thankful For Our Single Ingredient Treats

My GBGV Life Thankful For Single Ingredient TreatsI’m thankful for all our single ingredient treats! Mom switched us to a raw diet about three years ago now. Along with the food switch, she also switched to mainly single ingredient treats. We want to eat as healthy as we can to keep our bodies in good shape. We got a small shipment of more treats this week, and these are some of what we ordered.

Mom has been on a whole food, pretty much all natural diet for a couple years now. She thought it would be good for us too. Junk food may be tasty but it is not good for humans or pets. Mom has cut sugar and processed foods out of her diet. Now processed foods are out of our diet too. Since we haven’t had “doggy junk food” in a while, we won’t even eat it if someone gives it to us. As your body learns to eat super healthy, it will stop enjoying and craving processed junk foods.

There are so many different options for single ingredient treats and chews. Some things we love are lamb lung bites, beef lung bites, duck feet, beef esophagus, half pigs ears, liver bites, turkey gizzards, pork hearts, and so on. Yes, they are a bit more expensive than the processed treats but if you shop around you can get some deals. Chewy often has buy two get one free deals. We always compare prices with Amazon who often has things for less money. Buying from raw food companies or butcher shops is also an option.

Aside from us feeling good, we hope to stay healthier and have less vet bills down the road. Mom also stocks up when she finds things on sale, so we have a big drawer and a cupboard full of treats. There is no fear of running out at our house!
