Pricing (Let’s Be Honest for a Second)
This isn’t cheap compared to kibble. There’s no way around that.
But compared to other fresh delivery options, it’s actually on the more affordable side. Based on comparisons with similar brands, Farmer’s Dog comes in at least $10/week less for a dog Freya’s size.
So while it’s still a premium option, it’s actually the cheapest of all the well-known fresh brands (which matters if you’re feeding long-term).
Treats & Extras (Minimal, but Fine)
They do offer jerky-style treats in a few varieties, and your first bag is usually free.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a bit more variety here, but at the same time, I kind of respect that they’re focused on the food itself instead of trying to upsell everything under the sun.
Packaging & Storage (The Freezer Situation)
The packaging is one of those small design choices that makes a big difference.
Instead of bulky containers, everything comes in long, flat, tube-like pouches. They stack easily, don’t take up weird space, and are much easier to organize.
That said—if you have a large dog, prepare your freezer accordingly. I currently have more dog food in there than human food. Freya would probably argue this is the correct ratio.
