Today I’m demonstrating the fine art of rolling around. I’m the only one in the family that really, truly enjoys rolling around in or on anything, but especially the dry grass on our lawn. It feels great and does wonders for my furs. Please excuse the leaf hanging off me in the photo.
I start by lying down on the dry lawn or some dirt, both are just as nice.
Next you need to start the twisting motions to get your back rubbing on the ground.
Don’t forget to stretch out your legs while rolling around on your back. It is a full body piece of work.
Next, stretch your body out as long as you can. This is great to get everything back into alignment.
If you are ready to get up, get your front legs up and ready to stand for you.
Once you are back upright, rest for a minute to get your balance. You are looking good covered in grass, dirt, and leaves.
When you are back on your paws, give yourself a really nice shake off. You’ve been rolling around and it is time to get all the stuff in your furs to fly off of you.
Apaws, apaws, for you! Your furs are clean. The body has been stretched and scratched. Now you are ready to go, have some fun and you feel pawsome! How about you? Have you done any rolling around yet today?
We’re joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
