Time To Plant The Flowers Despite Frost Warnings

My GBGV Life Time To Plant The Flowers Despite Frost WarningsIt’s time to plant the flowers despite frost warnings from the weather people. Next weekend we have too much going on to plant anything so Mom said let’s just do it and hope for the best. I got started with the pots on the deck. We chose bright pink geraniums. Mom wasn’t really in the mood to do much with flowers so we are keeping it simple.

My GBGV Life garden houndsDid you know I have been helping out with planting since I was a youngster. Emma took me under her paw and showed me how to plant flowers in flower pots. It was a lot of fun doing the planting with her. Check out our post from eleven years ago and see how we did the planting back then.

My GBGV Life using the shovelBack to reality, keeping it fast and simple in 2026. Mom and I picked out geraniums, vinca vines and spikes. I was put in charge of shoveling the dirt around. Taking out some of the old and adding some new to hopefully help the flowers grow.

My GBGV Life Time To Plant The Flowers Despite Frost WarningsOnce the dirt is all set, I start adding the plants. Usually I put in the spike first in the back corner, then I add the vine and finally the flowers.

My GBGV Life Time To Plant The Flowers Despite Frost WarningsThe whole thing doesn’t take long. When I’m done, Mom carries the planters to the front step and then we are all done for this year. Mom says people change over time. She was a big cat person and now she doesn’t even want a cat. Then she was into plants and flowers, now she finds them to be a lot of work and thus why we are keeping it simple. These look pretty and add some color to the front step which is all we need.

My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
