We’re Thankful For Good Dog Friendly Hotels

My GBGV LIfe We're Thankful For Good Dog Friendly HotelsWe are always thankful for good dog friendly hotels. There are a few chains we tend to stay at and have had good luck when staying there but sometimes we try a new one. This trip we spent our first night at the Wingate by Wyndham. It would be a pretty short night which means if we didn’t like it, not a big deal. The Wingate turned out to be quite nice and we would stay at one again if it works for our travel plans. Our room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was conveniently located.

My GBGV Life hotel signThe next three nights we stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. We stayed at one in Florida in 2021 and really liked it. When we stay more than a night a kitchenette with a big fridge is always good for us since we bring our raw food and Mom brings a lot of her food too. It is also nice to have a bigger space since we are one human and two dogs.

My GBGV Life hotel lobbyAs you can see, the lobby is gorgeous. All the common areas are well cared for and fairly fancy looking.

We're Thankful For Good Dog Friendly Hotels We had the small kitchen, a couch and coffee table, the king sized bed, a bathroom, dressing area and a desk for Mom to do her work. There was plenty of space for all of us to do what we wanted to do, including Nelson discovering himself in the mirror!

My GBGV Life sleeping OliviaAfter my trial, I was exhausted. Nose work takes a lot out of a dog as it is a huge mental challenge. Back in our room I crashed hard on the comfy bed.

My GBGV Life waiting for the elevatorThe hotel has lots of windows so we can keep an eye on things, like when we wait for the elevator. Both of these hotels are places we will keep on our good dog friendly hotels list. Always remember, every chain also has bad apples, so read reviews before booking at a new place.
