As she walked by a wooded area, she noticed a small creature staring at her from a ditch. Curious, she stepped closer—and what she found left her speechless.
A Tiny Surprise in the Woods

“What are you doing there?” Tonkins said in the video. “Is this a real animal?”
At first, the pony seemed just as puzzled as Kayleigh. But before long, he made his way over to her. That’s when she truly realized how small he was.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so small,” she said.
She gently lifted him out of the ditch and continued to admire just how tiny he was—especially compared to her dog, who was actually bigger than the pony. Although she was still in shock, she knew she couldn’t just leave him there. Believing he had been abandoned, Kayleigh made a quick decision to take him home until she could figure out the next steps.
Looking for Answers and Finding Family

Instead of waiting around for answers, she took matters into her own hands.
“After rescuing him from the forest, I went for a drive and knocked on doors in the area,” Tonkins wrote in her new TikTok video.
Her determination quickly paid off. Kayleigh learned that the pony did have a loving home, and his name was Tommy. He wasn’t lost forever—he had simply wandered off. Finding out that Tommy was a cherished part of someone’s family brought Kayleigh a deep sense of relief and happiness. Still, saying goodbye to the adorable little guy wasn’t easy. What she didn’t know was that this wouldn’t be the last time she saw him.
