They have a regal strut, a confident attitude, and a habit of always demanding attention. If a Shih Tzu wants to sit in your lap, they will make it happen—whether you’re ready or not. And if you dare to ignore them? Expect the royal treatment to be revoked immediately.

They have an attitude far bigger than their bodies and will march around like tiny rulers overseeing their domain. They’ll remind you if you ever forget that fact—loudly and dramatically.

These little rulers believe the world revolves around them, and honestly? They might be right. Frenchies expect premium seating (your lap), unlimited belly rubs, and gourmet meals (or at least a taste of whatever you eat).
