It’s a birthday bone photo shoot for my sixth birthday! Last year we took my photos at the swing bridge as Mom couldn’t use her right arm much after her collarbone surgery. This year we decided on the bone which is tied to last year’s spot.
Mom found out about this bone and we thought it would be fun for birthday photos. All the poses “on” the bone I did all by myself. I kept jumping up on the bone and doing things for the camera all on my own. Mom found it quite funny but it works, especially since it is my birthday!
This bone is actually from the swing bridge. It is just over seven feet long and weighs around four thousand pounds. It is made from the limestone from the part of the Rock Island Swing Bridge that was torn down many years ago.
The only bummer is the background options. One side is a dog park and the other is the parking lot. It is a busy place with lots of people and their dogs going in and out.
I feel safe up on the bone and it is kind of fun to play around on.
Mom messed up the settings on her camera in the midst of my birthday photo shoot. In a way it is a good thing as we found out the camera has a cartoonize setting. This is one of the photos she took by accident with the setting.
We had a ton of people comment on what a great model I am and what a great idea to take photos with the bone. Mom forgets that not everyone has a creative brain like she does. We love this photo as the wind in my furs looks so nice.
