Carrot cake in pink is the winner for my birthday party dessert this year! I absolutely love carrot cake. The bakery decorated it with pink frosting and the sides are rolled in pink coconut. It looks fabulous, and tasted even better! Mom has decided we will all wear our custom party hats at all out parties. They are so nice, it is a shame to only wear them on our own days.
I put together this little collage so you can see the cake up close and personal, as well as the inside. Who would think a cake with veggies (carrots) inside would be so yummy. The frosting itself is the usual plain vanilla.
We had perfect party weather, cool and breezy. The smell of the cake wafted all over the place and got a lot of us to stick our tongues out.
Mom cut the cake in half and we each got a fourth of the half. Way too much math for me to figure out! She served it up and we all started to dig in. Nelson and Olivia really got into it quickly. Bailie and I are much more lady like.
The cake itself is a bit dense, and didn’t break up much. Eating is a bit of work with the size of the slices vs. our mouths. Bailie was not sure what to do about eating hers. Sitting next to Nelson she was afraid he may try to take her piece too.
It’s my party and my carrot cake in pink, so the heck with manners, I’m going to eat this thing!
Despite being a smaller girl, my mouth can hold a piece of cake when necessary.
Hey everyone! Look at me! I can behave like and animal too if the food is good enough! Bailie doesn’t seem amused by my lack of manners.
For some reason, maybe because I am small, it is so much easier to eat my dessert on my chair cushion. I do this every party. Bailie may be wondering where I went, LOL.
While I was under the table, Olivia and Nelson finished off their cake and were thinking the slices may have been too small. Trust me, I know how those two think.
Nelson starts to feel some disappointment when Bailie finally dives into her slice of cake. I think he was really thinking she may let him have her piece.
How about a shot of two sisters really enjoying my party and our cake? Even Bailie can still be totally silly at eleven years old.
Hats are taken off or are falling off. Cake is pretty much eaten. Time for the cleaning crew of one to get to work. Olivia finished her piece and was already gone. My party was a success, and my carrot cake in pink was absolutely perfect. Turning eight was great especially when we got to celebrate!
