My GBGV Life Texa Tonka Murals In St. Louis ParkTexa Tonka murals were on the plan when we went to visit Gramma on the weekend. Mom has seen these murals at a strip mall many times but always forgets to bring me along to take some photos. This one is on the Erik’s bike shop.

My GBGV Life Texa Tonka muralThere is an ice cream shop on the other end of the mall that is always super busy. On the weekend it was alternating rain and sunshine all day. The threat of rain kept a lot of people from being out and about, which means, perfect time for some photos. I sat in the chair real quick while Mom too, my photo. It is kind of a funny mural, but I like it, and it says Texa Tonka.

It is supposed to be covered in reminders of places and things that no longer exist in St. Louis Park. It is big and right on the road, so it is hard to get it all in on shot, but we did our best. I am there, but I sure look small! Mom’s best memory on the mural is the Red Owl. She remembers the one in St. Louis Park, but mainly she remembers what a big grocery chain it was when she was growing up. We love murals, any kind any place. They are fun finds.
