Bailie’s Birthday Week – What Thirteen Means To Dogs

My birthday week starts now and I want to remind you that thirteen for dogs is much different than thirteen for humans.

Being thirteen for a dog means you are a real senior. You slow down, start having health issues, can’t see or hear as well, and you tend to sleep a lot. For humans it means the time where you start getting wild, not sleeping as much, trying all kinds of new things, good and bad, you become a parent’s nightmare in many cases. To kick off my birthday week, I have one of our most popular ever You Tube videos of me when I was more of a teenager. I’ll be honest, I was a naughty girl my first few years. One of my favorite things to do was destroy beds, pillows and toys. Check out this short video Emma captured of me when Mom was not home. The camera allowed Mom to talk to me which makes me even more naughty!  Truly, I was a bad girl but she still loved me and I turned out to be a nice lady hound. Enjoy!
