Blind Rescue Dog Learns His Way Around and Lives Life Full Speed Ahead

Miller cannot see the person walking toward him, but that has never stopped him from assuming they are probably about to become friends. At 2 years old, the affectionate rescue dog is playful, rambunctious, endlessly curious, and apparently operating under a personal policy that strangers simply do not exist. Give him a little time to investigate a new room with his nose, and before long, he is confidently making his way around like he has lived there for years. It is a wonderfully ordinary way for a young dog to behave, which makes Miller’s story all the more remarkable. Only weeks ago, his life looked dramatically different. Severe damage to both eyes had left him facing surgery and permanent blindness, and another sudden medical emergency later became so serious that his caregivers feared he might not survive. Miller, however, seems to have missed the memo about slowing down. “This boy WANTS TO LIVE,” Border Tails Rescue shared while introducing the spirited pup to its followers.
