Sometimes, the most important relationship in a person’s life begins quietly, with no way of knowing just how much it will eventually mean. For Oaduk, adopting a dog named Duke brought companionship into his home at a time when he desperately needed something steady to hold onto. What began as the simple bond between a man and his new puppy gradually became something much deeper.
