Dog Left Outside Shelter With Puppies Anchored Around Her

Most humans are full of love. They are happy to devote their time and energy to their dogs, who, in return, give them so much more. But sadly, there are people out there who put themselves first and do the unthinkable to their pets. This story demonstrates such behavior. But thanks to caring individuals, this heartbreaking tale took a turn for the better. One dog owner was overwhelmed when his dog gave birth. Instead of rehoming the canine family, he left them outside an animal shelter in a shocking manner.

Two of the mama dog’s pups were placed in a crate and tethered to her by a leash. Her other babies were left in a cardboard box beside her. To make matters worse, her pups were already quite large. Confused and frightened, the mama dog pulled the pups around, trying to get help. She had no idea what to do.

Shelter staff showed up and didn’t waste a moment. They brought the entire family inside. After a thorough checkup, the shelter workers made some calls and found foster homes for all the puppies, who were then quickly adopted. However, while they were thrilled about the puppies, the mama dog remained at the shelter, and she had a difficult time coping with the environment.

The mama dog, now named Nora, barked incessantly from inside her kennel. Her loud barks and large size made her seem aggressive and intimidating, deterring potential adopters. Shelter workers felt terrible for Nora, so they reached out to The Dodo to showcase her online, praying this would help her find a home.
