A quiet summer day at a Colorado recreation center suddenly became a desperate race to save a dog trapped inside a locked van as the afternoon heat intensified. Witnesses grew increasingly concerned after realizing the animal had reportedly been left alone for nearly four hours while temperatures outside reached around 80 degrees.
