For 1,502 days, Hashbrown waited for someone to look at him and see a family member. The little dog had been with The Runaways Animal Rescue since he was a puppy, growing up surrounded by people who adored him while everyone waited for the day one of those people would finally be his forever person. Hashbrown was born with spinal malformations that affected his mobility. After consultations with specialists and plenty of physical therapy, his rescuers learned that he would never be able to walk like most other dogs. He even became a bit of an internet celebrity along the way. Still, there was one thing all the attention couldn’t give him. Hashbrown needed a home, and finding one would take 1,502 days. After more than four years of waiting, the rescue’s longest resident finally got the news everyone had been hoping for.
