It’s FastCAT Invitational 2025 invites time. Olivia has been invited every year she has run. I was also invited for the two years I have competed.
Last year Mom planned on taking all three of us to the Invitational but then at the last minute Madison was bumped to number six and only the top five are invited. As we all ran in 2024, the new plan was for all three of us to go this year in 2025. The Invitational is always for the previous year. This year, we all made it but sadly Madison is no longer with us to go to the Invitational.
Enter me, Nelson. I am planning to go and run to represent our breed. Mom says I deserve my own turn as I ran hard to get my FCAT Titles and I love running too. I ran in May and earned my FCAT and then retired. I’ll come out of retirement for this experience.
What about Olivia? Well, she has been the fastest GBGV since she started running FastCAT and she also won at the Invitational in 2021. Because she is starting to get slower, she retired from the sport and will not be running at the Invitational. She would love to beat me at the Invitational, but she has something very special planned for the beginning of the week that only she will be doing. I’m sure she will share with everyone very soon.
Then we have our dear Madison who would be so thrilled to be invited for all but one of the years she ran FastCAT. She also had the terrible crash in May of 2022 and could not run for a few months. It took her a while to get over the fear in the middle of the course, but she did come back eventually with great speed on her short legs and finished her career with an FCAT3. I will run in honor of her as I miss her a lot and know she would be proud to see me compete in this Invitational.
As they say at the start of a FastCAT run when the start person waves the flag, “Tally Ho!” I’m going to get that bunny in Ohio in October!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
