Husky Who Lost a Leg After Being Shot Shows Everyone What She Didn’t Lose

When Bronx first arrived in the care of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, her body told the story of just how much she had already endured. The Husky was malnourished, in rough condition, and missing a leg after suffering a gunshot wound. Her past had taken a tremendous physical toll, but apparently no one told Bronx that losing a leg was supposed to slow her down. Today, the dog her rescuers once worried about runs, plays, explores, and throws herself into life with enough enthusiasm to make three legs seem like little more than a technicality. The transformation has been remarkable for the people who watched her recover. Bronx didn’t simply survive what happened to her because she has gone on to become a goofy, affectionate dog with places to go, toys to arrange, car rides to take, and humans to physically pull closer whenever they aren’t providing enough attention.
