Rescued Puppy Mojo Finds His Forever Home With His Hero
Thanks to the compassion and quick action of Joey Wagner, a young Pit Bull puppy named Mojo was given the second chance he so desperately needed. Found in Nova Scotia suffering from severe mange and clearly unwell, Mojo’s condition was dire. Wagner acted immediately, rushing the sick pup to a veterinary clinic where he could receive urgent medical care. His intervention saved Mojo’s life.
Because of the severity of Mojo’s illness and the care required for his recovery, the veterinary team decided that a standard adoption process wasn’t the best path for him. Instead, they contacted Wagner directly—the very person who had first stepped in to rescue Mojo from his suffering. They knew that his kindness and sense of responsibility made him the perfect fit to continue caring for the little dog.

When Wagner arrived at the clinic to see Mojo again, the reunion was nothing short of heartwarming. The puppy recognized his rescuer immediately, his joy and relief shining through despite the hardships he had faced. It was clear to everyone present that the bond between the two had already been formed.
From that moment on, Mojo’s life turned around completely. He went home with Wagner and became a cherished member of the family. Now, several years later, reports say Mojo is a healthy, happy, and well-loved dog. At three years old, he enjoys life surrounded by comfort, safety, and affection—the very things he had been denied before his rescue.

Mojo’s story is a powerful reminder of how much difference one compassionate choice can make. Wagner’s decision to act quickly transformed what could have been a tragedy into a tale of survival, healing, and unconditional love. Today, Mojo not only thrives but also stands as a symbol of resilience, showing how trust and kindness can heal even the deepest wounds.
What began as a desperate rescue has blossomed into a lifelong friendship. Wagner may have saved Mojo’s life that day, but as so many pet owners know, it’s often the animals who give us just as much in return.
