Nature In A Steamy Sherwood Forest

My GBGV Life Nature In A Steamy Sherwood ForestLast weekend Mom and I took a walk around a steamy Sherwood Forest. Summer is winding down but flowers are still holding on it seems. Nature has covered the ponds in the yucky green stuff but it doesn’t bother the ducks one bit.

We saw these pretty, little orange flowers.

The purple button flowers are starting to fade and die off.

Evidently, the yellow button flowers are happier with the weather as they are still going strong.

These pink flowers look so delicate and pretty.

We also saw this tiny yellow flower which is so cute but lonely looking all by itself.

Of course, I saved the most important thing we saw for last…SQUIRREL!!! Squirrels are always out and about, even in a steamy Sherwood Forest! This guy froze coming down the tree so Mom was able to capture a shot of him with her phone camera.

My GBGV Life Nature In A Steamy Sherwood ForestThat is it for my little late summer tour. Soon we hope leaves will be turning color, cold will blow in, and everything will be buried in snow. Who knows, we can’t control the weather, but a pup can hope!

We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
