Remembering Madison Two Years Later

Today we are remembering Madison who we sadly lost two years ago today. She loved her window bench and spent probably half her life sitting or lying on it which makes it fitting for me to sit on for this post.She was the canine version of Gladys Kravitz, always spying on the neighborhood from the front window. There was always a cozy bed for her on the bench. Now the bench sits empty most of the time, no one else uses a bed on it so the beds are gone. It is still Madison’s bench and always will be.Mom drove to Missouri to pick her up the day she turned nine weeks old. It was a super happy time I am told. On this day eight years and fifty nine days later, Madison passed away in those same arms. She went on her own, while waiting for the doctor, in the safety and security of Mom’s arms. She knew Mom didn’t want to make the decision, so she did it for her.Madison was small but mighty, and the most friendly GBGV ever. She loved sports, not being concerned really about winning but having fun and seeing people she knew which was important for her. Amazingly, she earned her TD, Tracking Dog Title at just ten months old. Barn Hunt, she loved and earned her RATCH, Rat Champion Title. FastCA...
