That fall feeling before summer returns means getting the wild pants on in the evening. We’ve had optimal weather with cool evenings that energize us all. Many trees are stressed from this odd summer so we are starting to see pretty leaves on the ground already. Fasten your seat belts and hold on tight. Nelson and I are about to blast off!
Let’s get this party started with a bit of a trot across the yard. Uh oh, Nelson seems to have is crazy eyes out!
I’m the faster dog by far, but Nelson is the more powerful one. Once he starts to push, pull, or grab, I don’t have many options.
Oh goodness, he is tickling me. Such a silly guy he is.
Now in the corner is where my agile self is an advantage. Nelson is like moving a cement block but I can fly around.
This is my big chance to get out in front of Nelson and break away from his tackling.
We are back to the race. That fall feeling in the air gives us added energy. I run two to three miles an hour faster than Nelson, so good luck catching me, buddy!
Can you see I’m starting to pull away from him. He will try hard to catch me, but there is no way he will. Now who has the crazy eyes I ask?
From here on out it is a simple race that I will easily win. I think I will race to the house so we can go inside and get some snacks. All this racing around makes a hound hungry. We love this fall feeling air but the weekend will be hot and humid again. At least we know fall is on its way.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
