For Billie and Finneas, everything familiar vanished when the people they depended on packed up and left them behind. The two young puppies suddenly found themselves alone in a backyard, exposed to extreme heat with no family returning to comfort, feed, or protect them. Their tiny bodies were covered in ticks, adding constant discomfort to an already frightening situation. Confused and vulnerable, the brother and sister could do little more than stay close to each other and wait.
