Backyard happiness can be me enjoying the great outdoors on my own or sometimes with Nelson. We enjoy hanging out together. I’m content to check on all the smells with my nose. Even though I’m a senior dog, my nose is still functioning perfectly!
Both of us enjoy sniffing the perimeter whenever we go out in the yard. It is a good place to start figuring out who may have been in our yard while we were not there.
Lots of critters are under the pine trees so we need to check the area around them for squirrel and rabbit smells.
Nelson is always sniffing me, checking my bumps and growths and sniffing in my ears.
Speaking of ears, Mom brushed me before I went outside and my ears are kind of itchy from that.
It feels so good to give my ears a good scratch! No worries, I don’t have any infection or anything, it just feels good to give my long floppys a scratch.
Just a little bit more on this ear and I will be all set to go back in the house and take a nap. Fresh air, time with Nelson, sniffing and scratching my ears makes for my backyard happiness!
