Dog Found in a Pile of Trash Survived the Unthinkable. Now She Needs the Right Home

Phoenix’s past is largely a mystery, but rescuers know enough to understand that the young dog had already endured far more than she deserved. She was discovered in a pile of trash near a homeless encampment in North Carolina with evidence of significant trauma to her face.
