Sometimes a dog is rescued from danger, only to face another heartbreaking challenge: waiting for someone to see how special they are. Tony and his brother Tyson were about 7 or 8 months old when they were found wandering along a county road in Texas. A kind woman brought the young dogs home and reached out to Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) for help. For six long months, Tony and Tyson waited with BARK. Despite being young dogs with so much love and life ahead of them, no one seemed interested in adopting them. Rescuers believed their black coats and “Pittie-type” appearance made them easier for potential adopters to overlook. But BARK didn’t give up on them, and neither did the compassionate supporters who help make second and even third chances possible for dogs like Tony and Tyson.
