Olivia and I traveled to Louisiana two weeks ago for my first Summit Trial in nose work. Neither of us had been to that state before so it was kind of exciting. Hammond, about an hour north of New Orleans is where we landed.
Upon checking into our hotel we found out the other name for this southern state.
The first night we went hunting for things Mom had found on line and we wanted to see. Fall in love with Hammond is one of those items. Right next to it is a really big, bright mural.
This curved mural with the letters spelling Hammond is the thing Mom wanted to see most and we managed to find it.
Olivia visited a lot of states in the south in December 2021 when she and Madison went to the FastCAT Invitational in Orlando. I have not gone south much. For me Arkansas is a new state I’m adding to my list.
Next comes Tennessee, another new state for me. I think we were in Tennessee for about ten minutes but my paws hit the ground so it counts!
Mississippi is the next state we passed through and it too is a new one for me. We drove for quite a long time in that state. The Welcome Center is super fancy too!
Last but definitely not least, we landed in Louisiana which has a nice sign at their Welcome Center. I visited four new states and Olivia visited one new one on this trip. Watch out sis, I’m catching up to you with the states!
What was Bailie up to while we were gone? Lots of napping.
Sometimes she was hanging out with the cat where she was staying too. I think she was waiting for us to return by watching out the front window.
All in all, it was a fun trip and the weather was great the entire trip. Now we are looking forward to our next trip.
