Patriot Day 2026

Today is Patriot Day 2026. Mom prefers to remember it as 9/11. She was living in Germany at the time and remembers watching CNN non-stop for days trying to grasp what all happened in her home country. It is a day of sadness and remembering but also a day to remember to start a new, live life to the fullest, and help others.Emma was born on September 11th, 2006, Mom’s first GBGV. She felt odd about celebrating a birthday on such a tragic day, but she wanted the puppy so Emma came to Germany and then moved to the US months later.As it turns out she is one of countless good things that have happened on September 11th. Mom fell in love with her, she was so small, and adorable.In 2011, Emma and Mom had the idea to start a blog and some social media accounts to tell the world about our breed. The purpose was to be a happy, fun place for people to go online. It has constantly evolved since the first day. Emma wants people to realize that even on a horrible day like 9/11, good things can be found.
