Puppy With Severe Facial Burns Finally Gets a Pain-Free Day to Just Be a Puppy

Burnie had every reason to be frightened of the world around him. When the young dog was rescued and welcomed into the MASA family, severe wounds covered his face, and veterinarians who examined him said the injuries appeared consistent with some type of chemical exposure. Exactly what happened to Burnie before he reached safety remains unknown. His damaged skin made it clear that he needed help, but beneath those painful injuries was a puppy whose spirit was already beginning to show. With foster parents Ashton and Jody stepping forward, Burnie’s difficult beginning finally started giving way to something much better. He had medical care, comfort, canine friends, and the opportunity to simply enjoy being a puppy. The veterinary team performed several tests, and thankfully, all of the results came back negative.
