A quiet delivery route can feel especially long when there is no one to share the day with, but Kenzie Trimarco discovered that companionship can sometimes appear in the most unexpected places. Most of her shifts are spent alone inside her delivery truck, moving from one house to the next with little more than a quick hello when a customer happens to be outside. When she recently started working a new route, she expected another ordinary day of packages, driving, and silence. Instead, one stop introduced her to Juniper, a friendly black and white Pit Bull mix who turned an otherwise lonely shift into a memory she would carry with her long after the delivery was finished.
