Puppies Archie and Winston were discovered in South Texas, left inside a box and forced to fend for themselves in one of the hardest places in the country to be a homeless dog. With shelters and rescues already overwhelmed by the ongoing animal crisis in Texas, countless dogs never get the chance they deserve. Thankfully, a compassionate foster opened their home, giving the brothers a safe place to wait while rescuers searched for someone willing to take them. Eventually, it looked like their luck had finally changed when a rescue in Colorado committed to bringing Archie and Winston north. Then, at the last minute, everything fell apart. When One Door Closed, Another Opened Many dogs disappear into the rescue system after setbacks like this. But Archie and Winston had people who refused to give up on them.
